Cultured Marble Countertop: Cultured marble countertop refinishing presents a transformative solution for those seeking to enhance the beauty and longevity of their counters. This process involves the application of a specialized coating to the existing cultured marble, addressing any signs of wear, minor damages, or outdated appearances. The refinishing materials are designed to create a seamless and durable finish, providing a fresh and modern look to the countertop. Homeowners appreciate the cost-effectiveness of refinishing compared to replacing the entire countertop, as well as the minimal disruption to their daily routines. Cultured marble countertop refinishing not only restores the aesthetic appeal of the surface but also offers the opportunity to customize colors and patterns, ensuring a tailored and updated appearance that complements the overall design of the space. This approach delivers a budget-friendly and environmentally conscious alternative to achieve a stunning and revitalized cultured marble countertop.

Tile Countertop: Tile countertop refinishing is the fastest and easiest method of updating a tile counter. It does not matter if the grout lines are stained or damaged, as tile counter refinishing also covers the grout lines. It should be noted that the process will not transform the counter into a smooth flat surface like a cultured marble counter. Instead it will update the tile counter to a like new look. Since tile countertops have either over mounted or under mounted sinks, sink refinishing is optional. Tile countertop remodeling can create an immense mess and oftentimes will require the purchase of new cabients as they are often damaged in the tile removal. Tile countertop resurfacing avoids the hassle, down time and cost.

Corian Countertop: Corian countertops are very similar to cultured marble counters in their material makeup. Though they tend to have more of a speckle finish instead of the marble swirl patter. Corian countertop resurfacing offers the choice of a solid color or a speckle patter in a new color scheme to match your changing aesthetic needs. Along with changing the color of the surface, countertop resurfacing extends the life of a Corian counter that has become scratched, pitted or dull. Thus producing less material waste and avoiding the expense of replacement.

What Types of Countertops Cannot Be Resurfaced?

Granite Countertop: Granite countertop’s have a special sealant coating applied to the polished surface that is a water inhibitor. Without this coating, the counters would absorb water and liquids very easilly and become stained or discolored. This water inhibitor layer prevets refinishing coatings from fully adhering. Some refinishers may attempt the refinishing using experimental methods or products, but in our experience if the coating will adhere at all, it will not last for long.

Quartz Countertop: Quartz countertop’s are another natural stone material like granite and have nearly the same properties. They are a much newer type of countertop so we have not encountered them often. But we would advise against attempting a countertop resurfacing on them for the same reasons as granite counters.
